Employees have successfully ratified their very first contract since reaching out to AFSCME Local 2703 two years ago.  There have been several ups and downs but ultimately MEMBERS HAVE PREVAILED!

New Rights for Workers!  New Salary Pay Table!  New Money!  New Pay Differentials!  New Job Security!  New Strength!  New Respect!  

For far too long this Medical Clinic, of the parent company Common Spirit, has taken advantage of the fact that workers did not have a union contract.  There were no rights or protections for employees to have a voice or to defend themselves against management’s unilateral and seemingly arbitrary practices and policy enforcement.   Things have changed.

Union Stewards will now consult with managers on workplace terms and conditions of employment, have the ability to file a grievance for violations and the ability to fairly defend themselves and their peers within the bounds of a progressive disciplinary process with binding arbitration.

Thank You to the Bargaining Team, Yesenia Hernandez, Alyssa Silva and Pang Chang, for all of their hard work and dedication!!  Congratulations to all our new members for a job well done.
