Yok was elected to take over the remainder of Gary's term as Treasurer until the January 27, 2024 election. Yok has been a board member of Local 2620 from 2013 to 2020 and was its Trustee from 2020 to 2022. She was the Treasurer for Local 2620 from 2018 to 2020. She began to be active in the Local doing representation work, SPB hearings, steward training, etc. She has gone on to involve herself in other union work such as contract negotiation, labor management meetings, lobbying for legislation, etc. She became a board member onCouncil 57 in 2020 and currently serves on the Finance, Hiring and Membership Committees. Yok believes in fair representation for all workers in dealings with management and that the union should be accountable and transparent with its members. As a board member, her decisions are guided by what is in the best interest of its members.
