Hi my name is Chris Pilson, I am the newly elected Council 57 President. I am excited to dive in and get to know everyone better and more deeply into the issues we face both as locals and at the council level. I have been a delegate from Local 101 to the Council for the past four years. I am the President of Local 101 and chair of our Local 101 Political Action Committee. As public employees we have the ability to help elect and build labor-friendly Boards for the betterment of all of our communities.  

My background is in earth science, I graduated from Cal State Monterey Bay and then went on to get my master’s in engineering geology from San Jose State. I’ve been with Santa Clara Valley Water District (now Valley Water) since 2009 in the Watersheds Operations and Maintenance Division. For the past eight years I have been in Vegetation Field Operations where I work with my colleagues to keep the creeks flowing and to minimize fuel load along access roads. I live in San Jose with my husband, our three dogs and two cats.
