As a Union Representative with AFSCME Council 57, Tina works with AFSCME Members in Locals with Bay Area Transits AC Transit, BART & VTA. Tina has also worked with the City of South San Francisco, The City of Daly City, The City of Burlingame, The City of Foster City, The City of Belmont, The City of San Carlos, Cordilleras Mental Health Hospital, Brius - Long Term Care Hospital, Sequoia Hospital, The San Mateo County Community College District, The City of Gilroy, The City of San Jose, The City of Santa Clara, Oak Grove School District, The San Lorenzo Valley Water District and The Town of Windsor. Tina Acree has also been a Business Agent, and Local Treasurer, Organizer and Representative for Communications Workers of America in San Jose.

She started her work in the labor movement with United Auto Workers, Detroit Teachers, and Communications Workers’ Unions. She is a graduate of UCSC in Political Science and History with a minor in Education, and has an MBA from the UOP. She also has certificates in contract negotiations from the National Labor College.
