Andy Neves was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. His first involvement in unions was as a member of UFCW Local 8 as a grocery clerk while in college. After college, Andy started his career in IT as an ADSL/PC tech in the mid 90’s at a company that was working with Pac Bell in the San Francisco Bay Area. In the early 2000’s, he started working with AFSCME Council 57 as a computer consultant. He was hired and started working full time as an employee of the Council in August 2003. Andy is an engineer and has certifications with Microsoft, Cisco, and more. Andy manages all of Council 57’s IT needs and assists various locals throughout California.
