AFSCME Council 57's Legislative Corner is a unique resource for AFSCME legislative activists. This site can help connect you to the necessary links so you can join fellow AFSCME members in supporting legislation to improve our jobs and our lives. Virtually every AFSCME member is affected by some piece of legislation moving through the state or federal legislatures. This site is designed to improve our ability as Union members, to make our voices heard -- and heeded -- by the politicians who move the legislation. Much of the information relevant to the legislative activists is already available on the web. This site is not intended to duplicate it, but to make it more accessible. Council 57 has organized available resources, identified key legislation affecting our members, and will issue bulletins, alerts and action calls on key bills as they move through the legislative process.
