AFSCME Members March For Single Payer Healthcare
Medical students from all over the state rally on the steps of the State Capitol. While Congress debates what has become a watered-down effort to reform the broken health care system on a federal level, Californians are committed to achieve quality, affordable healthcare for everyone. SB (Senate Bill) 810, the California Universal Health Care Act would do just that, providing every Californian with the comprehensive health care they deserve. It would further serve to reduce health care costs for working Californians and reduce billions of dollars in unnecessary spending.
Erwin Lynch, AFSCME Local 2428 member, marching with medical students at State Capitol. |
